Destinations is OTIA's bi-weekly newsletter. Every other Wednesday, members receive an email summarizing top-priority events, programs, education opportunities and other important news.

The newsletter is distributed to nearly 300 industry professionals statewide and is our prime source for dispersing time-sensitive information. Exclusive Partnerships are available to members-only and have first right of refusal on renewing the following year.

The Oklahoma Travel Industry Association will partner with Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to produce the 2019 Lt. Governor's Travel & Tourism Summits, which will be held around the state. Each half-day program provides tourism education featuring speakers covering a range of topics on best practices to promote tourism in your region, and includes a townhall-type discussion by the Lt. Governor on tourism development in each of the areas visited around the state.

Delegates from the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association met with U.S. Senator James Lankford in Washington D.C. regarding travel and tourism issues during the U.S. Travel Association's Destination Capitol Hill. The event brings travel leaders from across the country to educate policymakers about the power of travel. The program combines a legislative day on Capitol Hill with advocacy training, guest speakers and peer-to-peer networking. Destination Capitol Hill provides delegates with an opportunity to learn about upcoming legislation that impacts travel, network with peers and meet with members of Congress to stress the importance of travel as an economic driver.
